Pico Neo CV
Emerging with the All-in-One VR headset, Pico has introduced the Neo CV headset and is set to be the first consumer headset ready to use straight out of the box. This untethered VR headset is beautifully designed, lightweight, and wireless, providing users with a natural and intuitive environment for content discovery. With its high picture quality and clear resolution, this virtual reality headset is perfect for immersing users in games and videos without the need of a VR-ready PC, mobile phone or wires.
Designed for users to simply put it on and go, the Neo CV uses a stylish, comfortable and ergonomic design and features a built-in battery allowing users a safer and longer experience. The Pico Neo CV comes with a controller and boasts of a built-in processing source which allows the virtual reality headset to operate without the need of a PC or mobile. The processing power is based on the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 820 processor, is set to deliver a powerful and seamless VR experience with its dual 1.5K AMOLED displays, 4GB High-Speed RAM and SD support to 128 GB. In addition to this, built-in speakers with AM3D spatial rendering engine have also been integrated.
The Pico VR headset uses a fully immersive user interface based on Android 6.0 which has been redeveloped for virtual reality ensuring a fully immersive VR experience. The Neo CV features 6 Degrees of Freedom (6DoF) that allows for precise motion tracking thanks to the Pico Tracking Kit. The Pico Neo CV VR headset will launch with an experience enhancing range of accessories which include a Dual Camera, Tracking Controllers, and a Tracking Tag.
Rumour has it Pico will launching their own dedicated app store and is working with developers to get software ready for the 2017 launch. With the Neo CV still currently under development, a release date is yet to be announced.
