DODOcase Smart VR
Have you ever wanted to carry around a VR headset on public transport, or while out and about but opted not to due to the size?
The DODOcase Smart VR aims to combat this problem with its clever and compact style of folding away neatly. This enables you to take Virtual Reality, virtually anywhere you’d like providing you have your phone on you.
Launching into the market from the highly anticipated Indiegogo campaign that saw itself 193% funded in April 7th, 2016, the DODOcase’s Smart VR is a more portable and durable version of Google Cardboard.
Of course this headset is not there to simulate a full on Virtual Reality experience, rather to act as a handy tool to showcase VR capability in even the most obscure of situations. There are plenty of mobile VR headsets on the market, and some contenders will offer a higher quality experience.
However if you want to fit one of those “higher quality” headsets in your pocket, you likely won’t be able to. As is the same with all mobile VR headsets you can jump straight into interactive content with the use of the Google cardboard app and several other videos, games and experiences found on various app stores.
The DODOcase Smart VR will fit virtually any phone, android or IOS but do be aware that bigger phones may have a little more difficulty than others. You won’t be able to adjust the lens distance or IPD but this should be expected with such a compact headset.
To combat light leakage, the case also comes with a microsuede cover that doubles as a light blocking shield when flipped. This should keep your 34mm lens scratch free whilst only allowing a small amount of light in.
