Product Summary

Having visioned VR in a completely different perspective, Avegant have created a unique, sleek headset moving away from the conventional head straps. Instead, it follows a dual function pair of headphones which work like a normal pair for audio but also have built in screens in the headband which easily fall over your eyes after readjustment. Then with a simple HDMI connection, you can watch your favourite movies and play your favourite games all through VR.

What many customers would say they were paying for is the great portable asset of this particular headset. With just the headphones, one lead and a mobile device, you can experience your own personal theatre anywhere! Even with this trait, the Glyph is still equipped with high resolution and is excellent for good performance.

With the same simple design as a normal pair of headphones, the gear comes with padding around the headband as well as around the speakers ensuring comfort during use. The box also includes 4 interchangeable nose pieces for personalised comfort. Its weight may be less than other VR sets available but the pressure can build on your face over a longer period of use. However, the straightforward method of taking them on and off means relieving any strain is no problem.

Along with mobile devices, the Glyph works with a range of software including games consoles and computers. Only one simple connection is needed to get going so setup is no issue. Also, one doesn’t need to worry about buying games or movies to use in the Glyph, you just have to connect it. That’s all. Anything you see on the TV, you can watch through your headset.

Another factor that users like about this headgear is that it doesn’t use all of your vision, you can continue to do many daily activities as you use it. On the other hand, this can let some light through but this doesn’t obstruct your vision.

Wired Rating

Really impressive, natural-feeling display technology. It's insanely easy to set up and use. It's a good pair of headphones, when that's all you need.

Wareable Rating

The Avegant Glyph is a great spin on an age-old concept of portable media devices but it's simply not refined enough for all it promises to do.
